So, flying a late night flight just messes with me.

It messes with everyone let's be honest.

But it messed me up and I've already been all over the map with how I feel about this trip. (It's been mostly nervous, a little excitement, but mostly absolutely worry about...I don't even know what. My best guess is that I'm travelling to a foreign country where I don't speak the language and there's a TIME ELEMENT involved. )

So, after we landed and dealt with getting the car, (stressful) navigating Santiago (also stressful) having spotty service (which also added to the stress of navigation) and finding parking (stressful) we decided that after lunch we needed a break. That's when I wrote my first post, and then we took a nap.

Everyone says to not take a nap after you travel overnight or if there's a big time difference, but it's one of those things that sometimes, you gotta listen to what YOU need.

And boy did we need it. We didn't even sleep that long but it was just what we needed.

When we did get back up, we went looking for a museum. We tried the Natural History Museum buuttt the phones were being wonky still. So we eventually managed to find our way to the Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino.

Or the Chilean Museum of Precolombian Art.

Now that is some amazing history.

The ceramics are amazing and detailed and thousands of years old!

It was a really nice quick tour of South American history.

Afterwards we finally managed to get me to an ATM where I could understand it (cause that was a thing. The first ATM I found I couldn't freaking work it cause I didn't know what I was pressing. At one point it asked for a document that I didn't have?? I dunno.)

Then we wandered back to our hostel where we ate leftovers and planned our day tomorrow (we're doing a wine tasting with a chilean lunch) and if the weather holds up we'll go check out some of the parks around town.

Not sure how it'll go though, the forecast is crummy.

And now we are heading to bed.

Yeah, on paper it was a very.......minimal day.

But, and while I can't speak to Katelyn, this is exactly the kind of day I need when I first get somewhere.

I like to dip my toe in the water, so to speak, before I start running with the locals.

(How many cliches can you find?)

I'm looking forward to tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the week, but DAMN if I didn't think this was a long day.

Anyways, here's wonderwall. (Jk) .I wanted to add some pictures, but I can't seem to upload anything.

Getting this to post was hard enough!

Stay tuned for tomorrow's adventure.
