Kerry on my Rain ward son...

It rained.

We got up early in an effort to avoid some rain we saw predicted on the weather apps but
BOY were we wrong.
We were up and at breakfast by 7:30, and were on the road before 8:30.
We were hoping that maybe as we continued onward we would hit clear patches.
Also no.
Though don't mistake me. Driving around the Ring of Kerry was still beautiful. We started in Killarney National Park and it's gorgeous there-even in grey skies and cold rain.
(We also passed farms and this adopt a sheep sign and Sarah wouldn't let me get one. >=[ )

We meandered through the Ring with, ME driving!

I drove on the wrong side of the road. I only terrified Sarah a few times.
Half of the photos for today were taken by Sarah actually using my camera. I told her what settings to use for the most part but she seemed to get pretty comfortable at one point.
Driving was our day.
A few times the sun came out to say hello, and we got some directions from some goats and sheep and cows.
We saw a sheep on the side of the road.
'MA'AM. MA'AM. WE'RE LOOKING FOR THE RING OF KERRY.
MAAAAAaaaaaaaam?"

Comedy gold.
This place is beautiful.
And we had a great time driving around.
It can be done in a few hours like we did today, but there's a lot to see so I could honestly see it being a vacation of itself.
And eventually we wound back to the hotel and then we walked around Killarney for a bit.
Got a late lunch at a takeaway shop where I had a hotdog that was delicious.
(Y'all should check out the place if you're ever around Killarney.)

It's one of those towns where shops close at 6 and restaurants open at 7 so we went back to the hotel and we've been chilling. We're going to hit a pub with live music a little later.
It was a fun day filled with beautiful scenery that words do not do justice for, even on a gross day.
Last night here, and we're on to Galway tomorrow.
